I finally got double eyelids on my monolid-looking inner double lids

My inner double eyelids were so thin they were basically monolids, so after a lot of deliberation I finally got double eyelid surgery T_T. When I open my eyes, the double eyelid line is barely visible, so even when I do makeup there was a limit to how much eyeliner or shading I could use, more than I expected. I happened to see a double eyelid surgery review on YouTube and it was so pretty that I looked into it and learned about the clinic. The reviews showed many cases where the line was not overly thick and came out naturally, so I got a consultation too. After the consultation, they told me my eyes were the type where the inner double eyelid is almost invisible, so rather than making it too thick, it would be better to match my natural eye shape and make it look natural. They did not separately recommend other surgeries like canthoplasty or eye correction, so I only had natural adhesion. Right before the surgery, I had another consultation with the doctor, and even then I was still debating whether I wanted canthoplasty too. But the doctor did not really recommend it. I was a little disappointed then, but now that I see the result, I think it was good that I did not get canthoplasty haha. It has been about 2 to 3 weeks since surgery, and even though I only had double eyelid surgery, my eyes got so much bigger and the line is so clear that I am happy. There is still a little residual swelling, but the major swelling and bruising are all gone, and the line is settling in more naturally than I expected. My eyes used to look almost like monolids, so just having a double eyelid makes my eyes feel much more defined, and makeup is definitely easier now. Even with only natural adhesion, the shape and atmosphere of my eyes changed quite a bit, so I feel like I made the right choice to get the surgery haha. It is still only 2 to 3 weeks in, so I need a little more time for it to settle, but I hope the remaining swelling goes down quickly T_T.
