Breast Surgery Reviews

One week after breast surgery (+ first shower lol) review

I had surgery on August 12, and today makes day 8 including the surgery day. I came in for my first one-week follow-up. I got the Motiva Mini, which is not a very common choice, with 245 on the left and 260 on the right. Today I took off the support bra for the first time and saw my breasts after surgery for the first time in the mirror, right? But the really strange thing is... when I look in the mirror, they seem like exactly the small, neat, round breasts I wanted, so they look good, but in photos they look really small.. Maybe because breasts after surgery these days all look big...?!! Anyway, I originally wanted a very small frame, a slender body, and small, neat, natural-looking breasts, so I do like the current size and shape, but I think I will only know for sure once the swelling is completely gone and everything settles. Personally, full B size looked prettiest with clothes on, so I wanted about that much, but if it does not come out to a B cup, I think I will feel a little disappointed... Still.. since I am basically going to live with this body for the rest of my life, I think I did well not to overdo it and choose something small.. lol Since mine is the Mini, they said I have to keep wearing the support bra for one more week, so I am still wearing it for another week... I thought I would feel like I could live again just by taking off the support bra, but I still have to do one more week.. T_T Still, just taking off the tape already feels so, so much better!! I still feel stifled breathing because of the support bra and everyday life itself is hard and uncomfortable, but compared with when the tape was still on, it feels like a completely different world. Today at the hospital, the director peeled off the tape for me, and that relief at the moment... it is hard to put into words The taped areas kept feeling like bugs were crawling on them, so I would sometimes lightly scratch them with a back scratcher I got during a consultation at another hospital. Maybe because of that, after taking off the support bra, the skin was a little red T_T It is really... gross, but honestly I did not wash my hair for a week and today I took the tape off and had my first shower. I live in the countryside, so even getting to a hair salon takes 20 minutes by car, and I honestly could not bring myself to wash it alone T_T I finally took my first shower since the surgery today. Even showering felt like a feeling I had never experienced since being born... it was awkward, scary, and strange, and I was oddly afraid that if I spread my arms too much, the incision would tear, so I washed gently with soap because I felt like I should not scrub hard, and the sticky residue from the tape did not come off completely... For now, since something that was not originally in my body has been put in there, everything feels very awkward and delicate, and I am still a little scared, so I was careful even about opening my arms and took the shower cautiously.. Anyway, while showering I looked at my body properly for the first time, and I somehow feel like once everything settles, it will become exactly the style I wanted. The pain is almost gone by one week, but maybe because of the support bra, my upper abdomen feels so tight and my shoulders hurt like crazy. And the pain does not seem to be completely zero either. Sometimes if I use my arms a lot, I feel a sore, stiff sensation. Still, it is not enough to be consciously aware of it. Once I take off the support bra in a week, I think life will feel amazing!! T_T
