I wanted to get rhinoplasty, so I researched for a long time. I was scared of putting in silicone, so after thinking very, very carefully, I chose implant-free rhinoplasty. As for how much I looked up reviews of the hospital I was going to, I saw so many that I could tell whether it was the hospital I wanted or not just by looking at the before-and-after photos.
I searched online like crazy
And I went in person to a total of 5 places.
For the nasal tip, they used ear cartilage. Until day 3, the swelling was really severe, but after taking the medication from the hospital and drinking pumpkin juice and Fox Tea, it went down quickly.
I think pumpkin juice and Fox Tea really work well.
The photos are from day 7. My skin type was the worst for rhinoplasty. The shape too, and my skin was extremely tight, so they said it was difficult to operate on (so it was super expensive) I’ll have to keep watching it to know for sure, but so far it’s pretty okay. If I had put in silicone, it would have been high and glamorous, but the implant-free rhinoplasty I got now is so natural and just feels like my own nose lol If I don’t say anything, I don’t think anyone would ever know. Sometimes I think, “What if I had put in silicone..” but then when I remember how visibly obvious the silicone was in my friend’s nose, I also feel like I made the right choice.
Because I had a bulbous nose, ear cartilage was used for the nasal tip. The director said my nose is small and weak, so if we used septal cartilage, contracture side effects would come quickly, so we used ear cartilage.
For the nasal bridge, fascia from behind the ear was used.
Because my skin is thick, it was a subtle surgery.
To prevent a pinched nose, I had the columella volume increased and alar reduction too. That’s what I had done.
I thought that once I went into surgery and got anesthesia, I’d fall asleep and wake up with the surgery all finished.. But I was just woozy, like that feeling 30 seconds before blacking out from being drunk?
After a little while, the anesthesia wore off somewhat, so I could feel sounds and sensationsㅜ There was no pain at all, but I could hear the surgery sounds so clearly that I was tensing my whole body. After the surgery ended and the anesthesia wore off, the pain slowly started coming in. I lay down for about 30 minutes and then got in the car, and my nose hurt like crazy, my ears hurt even more than my nose, and I almost lost my mind, but I took exactly one painkiller and after that I had zero pain. I’m the type who exaggerates pain a lot, but if it’s this much, I think it’s true that rhinoplasty doesn’t hurt that much.
