It has been about 9 years since I had surgery with a full-incision method.
I went in for a consultation without much information, and because my eyes had a bit of fat, the director recommended a full incision. The procedure was done under sleep anesthesia.
The line is in-out, and after the stitches were removed, people around me could not really tell unless someone told them. I am still very satisfied now!
Everyone probably already knows these, but this is the management routine I followed.
▶Do not put any force into your eyes until the stitches are removed - keep your eyes open as blankly/relaxed as possible (blood vessels can burst)
- After the stitches were removed, I went around opening my eyes with a lot of force so the line would settle as prettily as possible!
▶Do cold compresses well
▶Sleep with your pillow high, and eat pumpkin porridge well to help reduce swelling
And one thing I regret is that after the stitches were removed, something like a white scab..? formed, and I picked at it, but that left a mark almost like a scar..
Even if something like a white scab forms on the line, do not touch it. If you leave it until it falls off naturally, I think it will not scarㅠㅠ
Personally, I think it turns out best when you go with the line or surgical method the doctor recommends.
Also, unless the doctor says epicanthoplasty is absolutely necessary, I recommend not doing it.
It is easy to scar, and people around me who had epicanthoplasty regretted it a lot. I think not doing it looks more natural.
That is all!
