When I was first in high school, I went to a place in Seomyeon... one that advertises a lot. I didn’t know anything, but an older acquaintance of mine had it done there and it turned out pretty and successful, so I did it there too.
So I had it done by the director they recommended there, and they said they would do it exactly like the photo I showed them, so I agreed willingly. At other hospitals too, they kept holding onto me, saying my eyes were the type that would turn out well with double eyelid surgery and that I should do it at their hospital, but I just canceled. Because among my acquaintances, there was a friend who had it done there and it turned out strange... Anyway, I’m not sure whether my eyes really were the type that would turn out well, but my eyelid skin is a bit thick, and I originally had double eyelid creases? already settled in. Maybe they meant it would be easy to set the line? I’m not sure...
Anyway, I had it done, and my eyes were completely ruined. I wanted an in-out line, but they set the starting line at the front of my pupil and made the back line huge, so the line ended up looking like some kind of creep curve.
It turned out that doctor was a new doctor with only 4 months of experience, and the doctor who had operated on the older acquaintance I knew had opened another hospital. Anyway, when I went back for a consultation, they said they would do a revision surgery there too, but I just didn’t do it. Because I thought it would fail again...
And for the revision surgery, I had it done by a doctor said to be famous for revision surgery in Busan.
One hospital was said to be famous because the doctor had left the first hospital and opened a separate clinic... My friend also had it done there, so I went for a consultation, and the cost was affordable, they said they could raise the line without epicanthoplasty, and they were kind, so I liked it.
The second hospital was famous for reconstruction, so I just felt drawn to it. They said that to raise the line at the front of my eyes, I needed epicanthoplasty... For reference, none of the hospitals I had been to so far had told me to get epicanthoplasty... It’s not like I had Mongolian folds either. On top of that, my right and left eyes are slightly uneven, and they noticed that, so I thought it was amazing and just did it there... The biggest regret of my life.
Anyway, the result is better than before, but it’s still a total failure.
Still, with the previous doctor, I only disliked the line; I had no foreign-body sensation, scars, or anything like that, and no sausage-like swelling either. But here, they fixed the line so strongly that it became sausage-like, and the scars are really severe. The double eyelid area has a severe foreign-body sensation too. When I touch the skin between the double eyelid and the eye, the sensation is somewhat reduced. It feels a bit like touching a blister? I also had epicanthoplasty done at the same time, but the scar is too big, and on top of that, I don’t know how much skin they cut, but when I close my eyes, I end up pulling the lower eyelid to close them, so wrinkles formed in the under-eye aegyo-sal area. And I actually developed Mongolian folds that I didn’t have before......;; The asymmetry is also really severe, and the impression of my left and right eyes is different... When I open my eyes wide, they get buried in my upper eyelids, and I honestly don’t know why this doctor is famous for reconstruction.
So while looking for a hospital to get another revision surgery, I ended up joining this community. I’m scared that plastic surgery will fail again, so I just hope even one side can become a bit less buried in the skin...
There is a doctor who is said to judge things rather objectively, so first I’m planning to go for a consultation to see whether my eyes can be reconstructed at all... Please, I hope this surgery succeeds...
