I had visited many places, and there was a hospital I wanted to go to based on a recommendation from a close older friend, but the director at the hospital I personally went to was so kind, and had exactly the style I like: "analytical and able to understand what the patient's concerns are," so I really liked him.
Then suddenly, I got scared of going under general anesthesia (I chickened out), so I decided to just have under-eye fat removal, facial liposuction, and one Shurink treatment, and went ahead with the surgery.
My under-eye fat had always been a complex of mine, so my satisfaction after surgery was quite high. The problem was that the areas under my chin and ears where liposuction was done using a cannula (thin tube) developed scars, and that was stressful... And I remember that they also suctioned fat from around my nasolabial folds, maybe because of that, my nasolabial folds actually looked more prominent and uneven, and it felt like only one area was sticking out.
I wondered if it was what people commonly call scar tissue, so I went around to different places and had scar consultations too, but most hospitals said it was not scar tissue, just that the shape of the fat was like that, and that the redness of the scars could be reduced with laser treatment, but for the yellow scar marks that seemed to be from fat protruding during the suturing process, the opinion was that surgical or plastic-surgery scar revision would be needed.
And as time passed, the areas where under-eye fat had been removed looked even more hollow, so my tear trough/Indian lines looked much deeper... In the end, I am looking again for a way to fill the areas that were removed... And I am also looking into other lifting procedures... (Most hospitals also claimed that I should have had under-eye fat repositioning instead.)
I found this community because I was searching due to these scars and tear trough/Indian lines, but since my first post sounds somewhat like an accusation, I am not sure if it is okay... hahaha Honestly, it is true that my satisfaction with my first cosmetic surgery was not high. I do not know if it is because that hospital specializes in facial contouring, but other people seem to have high satisfaction. Through this incident, I realized that cosmetic surgery does not so easily solve everything, and that I also need to fully consider that side effects can happen to me too... I guess I was also at fault for going ahead thinking it was a simple surgery where they just had to remove fat...
I hope that many people reading this do not experience the same stress as I did, and I hope you do not take lightly any kind of cosmetic surgery that involves putting a knife to living flesh.
