For my first surgery 5 years ago, I had osteotomy + silicone + donated costal cartilage at ㅇㅇㄴㅁ Plastic Surgery -> after that, inflammation started -> progressed to a contracted nose
After frantically searching about contracted noses, I found Director Seo Jeong-seok Consultation with the director - He said the current contraction was severe and there seemed to be inflammation, so revision surgery would be difficult and recommended complete removal surgery, but I absolutely wanted revision surgery (silicone + autologous costal cartilage) / compromise - lower the nasal tip with autologous costal cartilage and decide on the nasal bridge after checking the condition
1st surgery - lowering the contracted nose (autologous costal cartilage) + nasal bridge removal surgery According to the director, during surgery the inflammation in the nasal bridge was so severe that he judged it would be too much to insert silicone in that condition, and since lowering the contracted nose was the priority, the extra skin could not be used for the nasal bridge, so he did not put in a bridge implant -> I was very satisfied with the improvement in the contracted nose, and people around me complimented me saying my nose had returned to a normal nose, but honestly, because my previously high nasal bridge suddenly became much lower, it felt very unfamiliar. Still, after he showed me photos of the inflammation that came out from inside my nose, I gave up my desire for a higher nasal bridge..
(6 months after surgery) - Every time I went for follow-up, I kept pestering the director to put in a nasal bridge implant.. The director kept refusing, but said we could consider it if extra skin developed, so at the 6-month mark we decided to proceed with surgery right away. I won
2nd surgery - silicone addition surgery (surgery done with ㅇㄴㅍ) Since there was no extra skin on the nasal bridge, we agreed to let go of greed and raise it just slightly
(Current) This is my review at 3 months after the 2nd surgery. I still have no problems living day to day, and I thought the inflammation had been caused by silicone, but since there are no problems now, I wonder why contraction progressed after the first surgery.. question;;
