<Before surgery> I arrived at the hospital, changed clothes, came out, and washed my face. I didn’t get to try that bad-tasting gargle everyone says they experienced. They didn’t give it to me. I met the facial contouring doctor and had a brief consultation, then went into the operating room. Since I was also getting double eyelid surgery (incision), I met the double eyelid surgery director first. In a very calm tone, he marked the line for me, and the line-marking, which felt way too fast, was over,,, Then they told me to lie down. I was so, so nervous that honestly I didn’t really notice the injection needle hurting. The nurse said it would hurt and told me to clench my fist, but it was just over in an instant, so it was fine
<Double eyelid surgery> When the sedation anesthesia went in, I felt that cold liquid spreading through my whole body and immediately passed out,,, When I opened my eyes, they were in the middle of the eye surgery. There was a smell of burning flesh from time to time, and occasionally there was pain that was just uncomfortable, but it wasn’t that painful. Up to here, it was really okay,,, The time I felt conscious was about 15 minutes? I think
<Facial contouring> I was much more nervous. I was so groggy I could barely function, but I moved to another operating room and lay down. They put on something like an oxygen respirator and immediately gave me anesthesia,,, I woke up to the sound of someone frantically trying to wake me up. I got up and moved to the recovery room.
<Day 1 (same day)> At first, I didn’t really feel like there was phlegm stuck in my throat, and I could breathe through my nose really well. Rather than pain, it was more like numbness and throbbing at the chin tip,,? I just wanted to drink water so badly. It kept feeling like the sore throat you get with a severe cold. The nurses kept coming by and checking on me. After 3 hours, they gave me water and a syringe and told me to drink. I was gulping it down, but the feeling that I was going to throw up got so intense that I suddenly felt miserable and cried ㅋㅋ… Then they put on the compression band, and the throbbing pain got worse, then disappeared, over and over endlessly,,, I kept falling asleep and waking up endlessly,,, But thinking about it now, I don’t remember it well. You can just go in thinking the first day will be hard, but it wasn’t harder than expected because of pain. It was the discomfort of having to sleep sitting up, plus having so many things hanging from my body, from the urinary catheter to the blood drain to the injection needle, and that whole situation was so hard.
<Day 2> They woke me up in the morning and started preparing me for discharge. They removed the urinary catheter first, and it was better than I expected. It’s just one second of “ugh,” but once it’s all out, the pain disappears right away, should I say…? You really don’t need to be scared. The problem was the blood drain,,, People kept saying removing the blood drain hurts so much, so I got scared and moved to have it removed. Before removing the blood drain, they disinfected my eyes. They removed the eye discharge and wiped them gently, but honestly, my eyes felt so normal that I couldn’t even tell I’d had surgery. When removing the blood drain, it hurt less than I expected. How should I put it, it just feels like a hose coming out from inside your chin, but that hose was inserted much farther than I expected, so it felt like my chin was coming offㅜ It was just uncomfortable for about 5 seconds..? Then I was immediately fine. I went straight home. I almost died from sleepiness in the taxi,,, As soon as I got home, I ordered pumpkin porridge, ate it, and took my medicine. I lay down all day, used ice packs, and whenever I felt like it hurt a bit, I took Tylenol, repeating that endlessly. It hurt, then didn’t hurt, I felt miserable, then didn’t feel miserable,,, I just ended up bothering my boyfriend for no reason
<Day 3> I’m someone who usually sleeps a ton, but my eyes opened at 6 a.m.,,, I wondered if it was because of pain, so I warmed up porridge, ate it, took medicine, gargled, and went back to sleep. I was originally supposed to go to the hospital by 10 a.m., but I couldn’t get up, so I pushed it to 4 p.m. The pain was just better than yesterday? The swelling was insanely bad, and I looked like a jar of greed. When I went to the hospital, even the nurse was surprised,,, But they said I would swell because I had a lot of bleeding during surgery too. I got onto something that looked like an operating table and they disinfected inside my mouth, and wow, seriously, it hurt like crazy. After that, I met the doctor, and he did something again inside my mouth with something like a wooden stick, but I don’t really know what it was and it hurt so much ㅠ Still, he said my face was soft, so it seemed like it was just swelling, and I felt relieved. I got a swelling injection, and it was so uneventful that I couldn’t even tell I got the shot. I’m on my way home after getting a swelling laser treatment,,, I hope the swelling goes down a bit faster ㅠ
