On the day of the before-and-after surgery, the swelling wasn’t that bad, but on days 1 to 4, it really swelled up a lot after I slept and woke up. My eyes became only half as big and my nasal bridge seemed to disappear, and I had the stitches removed twice.
Starting from day 8, after the last stitch removal, the foreign-body sensation in my eyes disappeared and the swelling kept going down.
By around week 2, I think there was almost no swelling left.
In week 3, the outer corners of my eyes still felt red, and the surgical scar was visible too. There was almost no pulling when I moved my eyes, but it pulled when I smiled.
Now it’s been two months, and I don’t feel any discomfort in my eyes at all, but the scar is still there. I heard it takes about half a year to disappear, so I’m waiting.
