It’s been over 20 years since my first surgery. When I was young, I followed a friend and got cosmetic surgery without knowing anything about it. I just hated the hump itself, so I only shaved down the middle part of my hooked nose and placed a thin silicone implant over it (my nose is on the higher side). I had no major issues living with it, and people with hooked noses will know what I mean. Just being satisfied with the one thing of not having a hump. As time passed, maybe because only the middle part was worked on, my nasal tip drooped and my nose became crooked, and it changed into a witch-like, masculine-looking nose shape, but once it started bothering me, I kept noticing it. Honestly, I knew my nose had become less pretty, but while giving birth and raising children, life was so hectic that I couldn’t pay attention to this at all. Should I just live with it... Is it really necessary!? At this age? What if something goes wrong? Am I creating a problem for no reason..? All kinds of thoughts are going through my mind. During the consultation, for the nasal bridge, I was told silicone removal followed by artificial dermis, and for the nasal tip, septal cartilage and donated rib cartilage, plus correction of the crooked nose.
The surgery is next week, and I’m doing the revision because I want a smooth nose line, but there are so many posts about the absorption rate of artificial dermis that I’m really unsettled. They said they would place artificial dermis on the bridge of my nose, but I’m worried that if it gets absorbed, my nose will become bumpy and spread out
