I wanted a natural look, and since I’m from Gyeongbuk, going all the way to Seoul felt a bit much, so I was looking in Daegu and found Dr. Lee Young-joo. I heard this doctor doesn’t do epicanthoplasty. I didn’t really want that either, and my goal was to make it look natural. It’s definitely natural when my eyes are open, and everyone tells me it looks natural. If I don’t say anything, people don’t know I had double eyelid surgery. But the important thing is that when I close my eyes, there are scars, so it’s obvious I had double eyelid surgery.. Should I say scar tissue formed..? At first, I thought the surgery had failed because of this.. Also, I don’t know if the ptosis correction was done too strongly, but my eyes don’t close all the way. Right after surgery this was severe, and now it’s only a little like that. And most of all, the inner front part of the double eyelid on one of my eyes came undone.. Honestly, it came undone after just 1 year, and since they do revision surgery for free up to 2 years, I could have gone to get it done.. The surgery itself didn’t hurt at all, but after the surgery, when the nurse removed my eye stitches, she did it so painfully that I couldn’t bring myself to go back because of that.. And I probably wouldn’t be able to do revision surgery on only one side anyway.. I hated it so much that I didn’t go.. Still, I definitely became prettier than before, but I do wonder whether this was the best outcome, whether this hospital was the best choiceㅠㅠ Every time I close my eyes, the scar tissue shows, so it’s impossible to pretend to other people that I didn’t get double eyelid surgeryㅜㅠ I’m sad.
