♡Progress
1. Slight entropion in the right eye → about three lashes are lifted, but they are not touching the eyeball. The thing where they would be stuck to my pupil when I woke up in the morning has disappeared. But the left eye seems to have about two lashes lifted too? It feels ambiguous to call this a side effect or entropion...??? I’m thinking of trying an under-lash perm or buying an eyelash curler to calm them down ㅜㅅㅜ
2. Uneven outer corner positions, excessive exposure of the white of the left eye improved → it was just swelling My face was never the Statue of David to begin with, so how could one canthoplasty make my uneven eyes match 100%~~~~ But even this only looks uneven if you stare really closely, and you can’t really tell at a glance haha
3. Scars → there are still a lot of small ones left, but I originally like doing dramatic eye makeup, so I honestly don’t care even a little! haha It opened in a perfect < > shape from the start, and if I cover it a bit with cushion foundation, eyeliner, and shadow like I normally do, you really can’t tell at all???
It’s not like this is my first or second plastic surgery, and staring into the mirror right now thinking my life is ruined!!! doesn’t help at all, so I’m just picking my nose without thinking until I go for my one-month progress check. The conjunctival swelling and redness that made me look completely inhuman disappeared faster than I expected, and after the stitches were removed, it became a battle between itchiness and eye discharge ^^... Since the back of my eyes was opened, tears absolutely do not flow forward. They flow backward. That was kind of interesting. Dramatic effects possible;;
But when the stitches were first removed, it hurt so much T T I had the first-round stitches and second-round stitches removed, and the second-round stitches actually felt refreshing? The first-round stitches really hurt, sob sob. Until day 8, when my second-round stitches were removed, I wore a hat and sunglasses around, and as soon as all the stitches were out, I took off the sunglasses and walked around. I’m not used to glasses, so they were honestly so uncomfortable T T My ears hurt and I felt so suffocated... After they were removed, I think I could get around fine just by pulling a hat down low! After day 14, I even took off the hat and just went around hahaha Whether it shows or not, my comfort comes first.
♡Changes
Because I had given up on canthoplasty, I always put a lot of effort into eye makeup, so when I took it off, my face really became plain T T Of course I worked hard on sculpting my face, and it’s still ongoing, but when the eyes are small, there really is a limit... As I wrote in my first review too, I originally have small pupils and narrow, clam-like eyes(^^), so I had to put a lot of thought into choosing contact lenses, you know? If they were even a little too dark or a little too big, congratulations! You’ve won dog eyes! Then I’d throw away the lenses I had gone through the trouble of buying T T But if I bought lenses to match my small pupils, they didn’t make my eyes look bigger T T
Once the money I spent on lenses went over a million won, I ended up with several holy-grail lenses I could rotate through, but whenever I took out my lenses, removed my false lashes, and wiped off my eye makeup, reality hit me so hard:( So I thought this was ultimately the limit of my natural base... but now that my eyes are twice as big...!!! I’m looking at my bare face and falling in love with myself♡
Honestly, I still haven’t even put powder on my face, and every morning I’m just wetting my lashes that are covered in eye discharge with water (the amount of discharge is decreasing day by day!), but I’m so moved that the rough impression is gone even if I don’t do soft, innocent-looking makeup. They’re still sanpaku eyes, but they’ve become pretty sanpaku eyes instead of unattractive sanpaku eyes, so I’m happy... Honestly, I thought, how much prettier could I get just by opening the eyes? But I really got so much prettier^^ Ugh, I should’ve done it sooner. I wasted years of my life.
And the thing where my glabella looked narrow is gone............... I’m... moved....... Once the proportions fell into place, my features looked more organized too... I’ve developed a hobby of putting a mirror in front of me and looking at myself every three seconds
♡Discomfort
Right now, other than eye discharge stretching everywhere and sticking to my lashes, I don’t think there’s anything particularly hard. People say lateral canthoplasty scars are severe and scary, but they’re not as bad as I thought...? If you glance roughly, they just look like blemishes;;; They feel firm when I touch them. Is this scar tissue? They said they sutured the inside with dissolvable stitches, so it might be because of that? For reference, I get really severe keloids. But they say I absolutely won’t get them on my face. A director at another clinic told me that.
The red mucous membrane showing at the back of the eyes also doesn’t seem as severe as I had prepared myself for. With time, I really don’t think it’ll be noticeable...? Even now it’s subtle.
Other than a pulling feeling on the lower and outer/back side when I close and open my eyes, there isn’t really any discomfort, and if I laugh like I’m shouting loudly, my eyes fold and it still hurts a bit??? When I laugh, there is an optical illusion where the firm scar area looks like it’s crumpling, but I think this will go away later too. Why am I sure? Because it’s already gone on the right side! It seems the left eye is recovering more slowly T T
♡Personal Thoughts
Honestly, now that I look human and life is manageable, I don’t really feel any downsides. And why is the recovery so fast too haha If the director is good at surgery, recovery really does seem faster. I know this because I’ve had a lot of surgeries! This is really, really, really why you have to choose the clinic well T T I’ve even booked revision surgery here for an area I suffered terribly with in the past... It was a clinic that suddenly became popular in a community at one point, but I guess that was just marketing I trusted it and went because the director had a firm personal opinion, but I suffered for a whole month, and neither the shape nor the recovery speed nor anything else was done properlyㅡㅡ So midway through, I even went to the clinic saying I wanted the implant removed and made a scene. It was in Gangnam too, but now that clinic has disappeared and reopened in another area Their YouTube channel and cafe all went down too.
Because of the review I’m writing now, I’m being suspected of being a broker, but I honestly wrote all the bad points and hard parts too, without exaggerating only the good points T T When I got my first plastic surgery, I came to this community really often too, and I’m writing in detail because I want to help, so I hope people don’t misunderstand.
Also, it’s only natural that a place with 100 people getting surgery will have a lower rating than a place with 10 people getting surgery, so I hope you judge for yourselves when you hear things like “always avoid large clinics,” “always avoid clinics that run lots of events,” or “always avoid clinics that get talked about a lot”!
Personally, I was scared of things like salaried doctors or being used for practice, so I went to a small clinic with one director, but after receiving treatment at a place where even the kindness, facilities, and service were terrible, I’m thinking I should’ve just paid more and gone somewhere a lot of people go If I could go back, I’d definitely go to an expensive, large, good clinic... If you have anything you’re curious about today too, leave a comment♡
