Before/after nose surgery, day 5, a review where I'm roughly satisfied!
For 10 years I couldn't do it because I was scared + had no time, and finally!! I dissolved my filler and had surgery!!ㅠㅠㅠ I picked the places through online research in a community, went to consultations at 3 places, and did it at the first clinic.
I was really scared, but I got so much information and help from everyone's reviews, so I'm writing something called a review too
At the first consultation, they said it would be a very natural style, so I worried a lot that I might regret it afterward because it felt lacking (my boyfriend said after seeing the review photos from here, he couldn't even tell if they had done it), but in the end I did it here and I'm satisfied!
They say you have to wait 6 months to know the nose design, but for now my surgical progress is so good, so I'm really relieved and grateful ㅠㅠㅠ As soon as I woke up from anesthesia, I said, 'Thank you for letting me wake up!!' I got through the cotton packing well too (after hearing about this, I practiced breathing through my mouth for a few days before going). I really had almost no bleeding. Not even one drop of blood leaked onto the gauze that day. Maybe about one sheet got wet? No blood was visible on the outside at all, and right after the cotton was removed, my nose opened up. Maybe because my nostrils got bigger, I can breathe really well now, and it feels like I have a mint candy installed. Runny nose is moderate. Bruising and swelling are really minimal too.
Ah! The ear cartilage area hurt a lot ㅠㅠ until day 3 ㅜ I was scared something had happened to my ear, so I searched for ear cartilage side effects, got scared, and couldn't even look at it. Then during dressing, I cautiously asked the nurse, "Is my ear... very bruised...?" and she said, "No, not really~?" so I found the courage to look, and it was really fine ;;: It still hurts when it hurts, but the ear pain has gotten much better too.
Ah, going back, I'm the type who gets easily persuaded, so every time I went for a consultation I thought, I should do it here!! Even at the first consultation, I said, "I'll book right away!!" but the consultant basically pushed me away and told me to visit 2-3 more places before deciding...
But I liked the second consultation so much too ㅠㅠ The review photos were so flashy! It almost felt like the doctor was a god in the world of noses. But they said they use donated rib cartilage? I was thinking, what does that matter, and I was really drawn in and about to book, but I had some time, so I looked up what donated rib cartilage was. There were a lot of stories advising against it, so somehow I got scared and passed. They said they only use really good donated rib cartilage, so I even asked where they buy it from. But there wasn't much of an answer, so the part of me that had been swayed there cooled down a bit.
Ah, this should be in a consultation visit review, but my points!! Anyway...
I wanted it to look natural but still noticeable enough that people might think, did she do it...? haha Since I'm spending money, it would be a waste otherwise ㅜㅠ lol They also say it gets lower over time. So before surgery, I appealed a lot about various things. Honestly, I wanted to go higher, but another important thing was that the insertion line of the silicone at the glabella wouldn't show. But the doctor said he tried putting in everything from 5 mm, and it was kind of not right... So he installed 3 mm for me, and it is a little disappointing, but I think it's much better than having the insertion line show haha And after doing it, I think if they had built it up strongly, it wouldn't have suited my face. I probably would have wanted to enlarge my eyes and get facial contouring too to match the nose ㅜㅠ
On the day of surgery I was out of it, but when I walked, it felt like the silicone was rattling along with me lol I really wanted to make the nasolabial angle come out pretty, like Shin Se-kyung. But even with the splint on, the angle between the nasal tip and philtrum was so, so pretty!!!! I was already so satisfied just with that. But it's day 5 and the angle has narrowed again ㅜㅠ sob ㅠㅠ Goodbye, my beautiful two-day nasolabial angle.....
Yesterday the splint came off, and the doctor said, "Now~ are you ready?" and showed me the mirror, and it was so pretty ㅜㅜㅜ I said, "Oh, it's totally pretty!!" But then I took a side-profile photo in the car, and what the heck, it looked so low!?!? So I suddenly got depressed again ..... thinking, I should have done it at the second place after all.....
But my boyfriend looked at it and kept going "ugh~ ugh~" saying my nose was too big So I looked in the mirror again, and what the heck, it looked like Han Chae-young's nose??? (Maybe because it doesn't really feel like mine yet, it looks different every time I see it ;;; ) And I took another side-profile photo, and the culprit was the camera.
A useful tip here is that review photos are usually the ones that came out pretty, right (is it just me?) Depending on how you take it with the camera, the nose looks totally different. So I thought there are limits to choosing a clinic based only on nose review photos. I'm taking photos to write a review too, and the line and height all come out differently. One thing for sure is that the camera can't capture the real height. Maybe that's why celebrities get their noses done so dramatically. When I look at my nose in the mirror after seeing it through the camera, I'm a bit surprised because it's high.
I just hope it looks about like the photos after the swelling goes down haha My stitches still haven't been removed, so my boyfriend keeps showing me pictures of cows and teasing me that it's a nose ring, and I get so annoyed because I keep laughing and my nostrils keep flaring.
The doctor told me not to use my mouth much for the time being. So I cut food into small pieces to eat. But because I have a fear of antibiotics, I eat really a lot. I don't want to get dizzy or have stomach pain. I'm taking all three meals and all three doses of medicine properly. Maybe that's why I don't have any side effects or anything difficult yet.
I think managing your condition really well before surgery and raising your stamina helps with the surgical progress. And I strongly recommend summer surgery. Because of the rain it's always humid, so the inside of my nostrils is always moist. The humid weather that used to feel unpleasant, after surgery, when I take a night walk, feels like the air of this world exists to embrace my operated nose and mucous membrane lolololol At home I have the air conditioner nice and cool!
