1. Choosing a Hospital
1.1 In-person consultations at 5 hospitals
• Criteria: single-director clinic + hospital specializing in noses + ratings
• List: Cocoline, Kowon, Konopi, Rivens, Nplus
• Values: naturalness + safety first (side effects)
1.2 Seven reasons I chose Kowon
• Questions such as surgical method and number of surgeries were similar at every hospital, and even going around for consultations didn’t have much meaning.
• Reason 1: The price was appropriate. (2 places were in the high 4 million won range, 1 place was in the high 3 million won range, 2 places were in the low 3 million won range)
• Reason 2: Due to circumstances, I had to schedule surgery urgently, and they handled it flexibly. (At other places, if you fixed the next week’s surgery schedule the week before, changes were not possible.)
• Reason 3: It was novel that the director took photos and photoshopped them on the spot. They seemed like someone who constantly tries to develop further.
• Reason 4: The low deposit (50,000 won) made me feel their confidence in attracting patients through fair competition. (Other hospitals: same-day discount system, deposit 200,000-300,000 won)
• Reason 5: CCTV viewing was possible, so I felt confidence in this area as well. (Other hospitals: no viewing or no CCTV)
• Reason 6: Among the hospitals I visited, it had the most patients. (Patients receiving treatment with nasal splints / around 2 p.m. at the time)
• Reason 7: The consultation manager stated the price cleanly from the start. (No event 3.85 million, event yes - card 3.3 million, event yes - cash 3 million) (At other hospitals, like at a raw fish restaurant, the more you negotiated, the more the price changed, and I even wondered whether the consultation manager was setting the price arbitrarily.)
1.3 Overall Opinion
• If you are looking not for a large franchise restaurant, but for a restaurant like a Gyeongnidan-gil omakase run by a hotel-trained chef, I recommend Kowon
