This is my first review, so I’ll write casually in short-form style! *Surgery info: MD Motiva 295/335 cc, surgery through the transaxillary incision
From the moment I decided I should get breast augmentation, I knew it would cost quite a bit, so I wanted to have it done at a clinic that had all three: the surgeon’s experience, aftercare, and safety.
Honestly, when I first started looking into clinics.. wherever I went, it felt like half ads and half real reviews, so it was a bit hard to pick out the genuine reviews ㅠㅠ Still, after lurking for a while and looking through clinics, I was able to filter out new clinics, surgeons with little experience, and places with poor aesthetic sense! (For this, you really have no choice but to search a looot yourself. That’s how your eye gets better.)
I went to two places for consultations, and in terms of the system, I felt both were okay, but one charged a consultation fee and one didn’t.. If anything, I think the clinic without the fee gave more detailed surgical explanations!! And I gained trust from the fact that the clinic itself focuses on operating on and managing only <<<breasts>>>, so I ended up getting the surgery there. The clinic is big, but the consultation, surgery, checkups, and aftercare areas are all systematically separated. (The surgeon has a tsundere kind of vibe, but explains everything. All the staff are kind.)
Day of surgery) After arriving at the clinic, I was most nervous when they were designing my breasts and when I was being anesthetized!! The operating room was cold, and since I normally have cold hands and feet, my hands and feet felt a bit chilly.. But because I was so nervous, the anesthesiology director comforted me and told me it was okay haha. After that, I was out of it because of the anesthesia.. After the surgery was over, rather than being hungry, my throat felt extremely dry. I was gulping down water, and whenever I moved my upper body slightly, I could feel something like a heaviness in my chest, which was fascinating.
One week after surgery) Compared to how much I had worried, it wasn’t as painful as I expected, and the discomfort was actually a little bigger. My whole life, I slept on my side hugging a cushion, but after surgery I had to deliberately sleep lying straight on my back.. so my back felt a bit sore from the pressure. Also, it was hard to lie down and get up by myself, so I got up with help from my family!! Rather than pain, it felt kind of.. stiff~ tight~ so since it was the early stage, I was definitely being extra careful too.
Around 2 weeks later, because I had been paying attention to my breasts all the time, I developed trapezius muscle pain.. haha. When I weighed myself, I had gained 2 kg.. I think it’s because I treated this like surgery too, saying I needed to nourish my body, ate only delicious food, and didn’t move much.. Looking at other people’s reviews, they say weight goes back to normal after a month or two, so I decided not to stress too much about it! And from this point on, I could lie down and get up by myself. It became easier to be active.
Thoughts at one month) Personally, during weeks 1~2, time really dragged like crazy.. (Maybe because I had bandages on in the beginning and it was a bit hard to move ㅠㅠ) From week 3 on, time started flying by!! I usually sweat a lot under my arms.. (;;), so I was worried about what if the incision area got irritated after surgery, but thankfully the heat had also eased a bit, and I was able to go around without a compression bra, so the thing I worried about didn’t happen ^___^
As I kept writing, I got excited and ended up writing a lot, but I hope it helps since I wrote it in detail.. haha I’ll wrap up the review now. It’s been just over a month, and these days I’m living in camisoles with built-in cups, but I’m slowly starting to want pretty bralettes or sports bras too, so if anyone here knows good brands, please share the info!!! I’m happy my breasts got bigger after surgery, but I honestly have no idea what I’m supposed to wear.. lol The only flashy lingerie brand that sticks in my head is VS..
