<Left: after surgery Right: before surgery><Top: before surgery Bottom: after surgery>I had surgery on the 25th of last month, and today I went in for a follow-up appointment. Thankfully, they said it has healed well.
On the first day, I was very satisfied because it seemed like it had been reduced quite a lot. But as it gradually settled and I no longer remembered my previous nose,
I do feel like my current nose looks slightly wide too.. (It feels like my brain has adjusted to it) Still, I’m about 70% satisfied.
If I ask 10 people, half say it is not noticeable at all, and half say it is noticeable. But most women notice. The guys don’t know.
If they had shaped the side groove and contour of the alar area just a tiiiiiiny bit more, it would have been truly perfect, so that part is a bit disappointing.
(Still, when I was looking at the photos and talking with the consultant, she said the nasal bridge also looks sharper and that it is a really well-done surgical case.)
I also asked a little about A/S, and they said they had already reduced it as much as possible with the internal incision, so doing another internal incision would be meaningless. They said it would have to be corrected with surgery that lifts it using the nasal septum.. But that is a different field, so it sounded like they were basically saying A/S was not possible, and I gave up.
(This clinic does not perform external incisions that permanently remove tissue and cannot be restored.)
Still, comparing the photos from right after surgery and today, it definitely feels reduced! Even when I put a finger into my nostril, it feels different from before.
I had it done with an internal incision that goes in from the base and sutures there. Since I had it done by the main representative director, I paid quite a bit more than the prices quoted by other clinics.
To correct the side contour I mentioned earlier, I’ll live with it a bit and then decide whether to have revision surgery (external) at another clinic or just be satisfied with this level.
I’m curious about everyone’s opinions haha
To summarize briefly:
Pros: No scar worries, can return to daily life right away, extremely natural to the point only I know, low chance of failure because it reduces from the base, and future lifting surgery is possible
Cons: If I don’t say anything, it is not noticeably obvious, and when viewed at a 90-degree angle, I can’t feel a big difference (very subtle)
That’s about it. The clinic did not give me proper after/before photos and only gave me printed ones like this, so please understand the poor image quality
