Nose Re-Surgery

I am the person who wrote about early removal

I wrote about this last week, but I received so many questions!! This community helped me a lot too, so I hope this can help someone else.. \nIt was my first rhinoplasty. Procedures: tying the nasal tip cartilage + placing minced ear cartilage particles on the tip + smoothing the hump. After making a huge fuss with the clinic, I found out that they used about half a little finger segment of ear cartilage and tied the cartilage with 2–3 stitches.\nReason for removal: the design did not suit me + psychological distress from the complications.\nI had the early removal at the same clinic where I had my first surgery..! So I paid no extra fee.\nRemoval costs money, and my natural nose characteristics were very distinct, so I thought it would be better to go somewhere that knew my original nose and exactly what had been done.. I also completed phone consultations with several clinics.\nFor background: I had spent two or three years visiting many clinics before choosing the one for my first rhinoplasty. I booked a year ahead, then had surgery when the date approached. After the tape was removed, something felt wrong with the design beyond ordinary swelling. I later found complication posts and other negative chatter about the clinic. I had not even realized it had become a factory-style clinic \nI knew a high nasal tip meant adding more material to the tip would not suit me. I explained my desired design while asking to preserve the tip, but they said something had to be added. I trusted the doctor. After surgery I looked like Pinocchio, and from below my nostrils were extremely uneven; it did not feel like swelling. Another clinic later said the cartilage had been tied unevenly.\nI showed side profiles of Jisoo and Irene and asked them to leave the hump, but the clinic apparently did not understand and seems to have shaved about 1 mm haha. The hump was gone, and the tip design was strange, so I looked like Pinocchio. I wore a hat outside for two weeks, felt everyone was staring at my nose, became paranoid and very depressed, and could not function normally. The tip procedure was uncomfortable and breathing was difficult.. \nI agonized over early removal, but decided it was better to remove everything and get back to my life. I also do not plan to have anything else done to my face. So I had early removal 16 days after the first surgery. Everything was removed, including the cartilage ties, leaving nothing behind.\nIt is now day 9 after removal. Since little manipulation had been done, I have almost returned to my natural nose apart from residual swelling. The split-cartilage area is also becoming somewhat visible, though I need to watch it for another month or two. The tip has dropped a little, and as it dropped the hump became visible again, which I actually liked.\nThis is absolutely not a post recommending early removal It really depends on the case. I became confident after phone or in-person consultations with four removal specialists, who all assessed the extent of my first surgery and said my natural-nose recovery rate would be about 90% if I removed it now. That is why I decided to remove it quickly.\nAnyway, I am leaving this because I received quite a few messages and questions. I do not know how helpful it will be since the original clinic removed everything without charging extra, but I hope it helps even a little..!!! I still have a contraction phase and scar tissue, so I am worried.. But I hope this helps someone..!! I hope everyone can graduate from this community soon...
