This is my 2-month review of epicanthoplasty restoration (one eye) with Director Kim Geun-sik at Mate Plastic Surgery. After epicanthoplasty, my impression changed and I developed a scar. Because a thin, deep scar formed, I regularly received Saesal acupuncture at a Korean medicine clinic on the inner corner of my eye, but it only turned into a wider scar and I did not get much benefit. I was thinking of just living with it, but then I began considering the epicanthoplasty restoration surgery I had been putting off. After consulting with the director, we discussed reconstructing only one side in the safest way possible because there was not enough extra skin at the front of the eye and the scar was wide (he said it was a very difficult case).
The cost was 1.93 million won, discounted for writing a surgery review! The original price is 2.42 million won, and for both eyes it is 2.75 million won, so doing only one side does not make a big price difference.
I am very satisfied with the surgical result. The scar improved well, and the inner corner of the eye was not closed off too much. If you are considering the surgery, I would like to recommend it :)
