3. Postoperative aftercare
3.1 Surgery D+1 (dressing) • Since my nose was blocked with cotton, I had to breathe through my mouth • My mouth was dry, and it was hard to eat foods that needed chewing • It helps to prepare a humidifier, wet wipes, mouthwash, pumpkin juice, porridge, etc. before surgery • If you sleep while breathing through your mouth, your tongue blocks the airway and you wake up midway because you feel like you cannot breathe • I asked the nurse various questions while getting the dressing done, and she kindly explained everything well
3.2 Surgery D+4 (removal of cotton inside the nose) • I still had a splint on my nose • From this point, I could breathe through my nose, play games, watch movies, and rest enough • I kept taking antibiotics and had not checked the shape of my nose yet • After removing the cotton, they reduced swelling with a laser (the warmth actually felt pretty nice) • They timed everything well, so I could go straight in without unnecessary waiting
3.2 Surgery D+7 (stitch removal) • The nurse removed the stitches in the treatment room • The director checked my condition and explained my questions in detail. (He also draws well) • Removing the blood scabs from the ear hurt the most
3.3 Surgery D+15 (director’s diagnosis) • I went to the clinic, took photos, and had the director’s final examination • I asked more than 10 questions about the surgical method and safety, and he kindly explained each one in detail • As the swelling went down, the overall shape became more natural
3.4 Overall review / thoughts • My nostrils were uneven and my nasal tip was blunt, and I like that these areas improved • I only told the director about the areas I wanted improved, but with his excellent aesthetic sense, he also compensated for the shortcomings and made it harmonious with my face, so I am currently very satisfied • I only used autologous cartilage (septal cartilage + ear cartilage), but it became higher, so everyone thinks I had surgery with silicone • They provide meticulous aftercare, and I am the type to ask many questions because I am curious about many things, but they kindly explain everything well • My nasal ala area always looked round and stuck out like a bulbous nose, so I did not take selfies, but now that my nose is slimmer, taking photos has become my hobby • After surgery, my face also looks slimmer, and it has the effect of making the philtrum look more defined • If someone around me were to get surgery, I think I would strongly recommend it • The remaining progress will be after 6 months~
