Hello? I’d like to share my revision surgery journey in case it may help anyone who is dealing with the same concerns as me!
First of all, my original nose had a low bridge and was overall short and round. Even before becoming an adult, I had been unhappy with the shape of my nose, and I often heard that once I became an adult, my impression would look much better if only my nose were refined a little So after nearly ten years of thinking about it, I had my first surgery at another hospital. Ha.. The result was that the implant was crooked, making the axis of my face look tilted to one side, and I was also dissatisfied with the shape. For two months after surgery, I think I was in tears all the time.. I had my first surgery at a large hospital, but just two weeks after the surgery, the doctor in charge left.. haha They connected me with another doctor, but the response was along the lines of, since it wasn’t a surgery they performed, they didn’t really know, so let’s talk again after six months... Back then, after work, I would search and search again for revision rhinoplasty.. It was six months where I felt, so this is how a mental breakdown happens.
Still, time passed, and when I visited the original hospital at the point when revision surgery became possible, they said they could do the revision, but even if they did, it might become crooked again.. And when they irresponsibly said that it would be fine to just use the autologous tissue inside my nose as it was, I became certain that I needed to look into another hospital. Since I did not want to get another devastating result again, for a month I searched for all kinds of information within what I could do, including online searches and recommendations from acquaintances. Communication with the doctor was also one of the really important factors for me, so taking that into consideration as well, I narrowed it down to about three places, and after consultations, I ultimately chose Knit Plastic Surgery.
First of all, during the consultation, I immediately thought, Ah! I should do it here.. First, Director Kook Kyung-hoon,, was extremely kind throughout the consultation, and no matter what question I asked, he answered easily and clearly. Actually, when I said I had no sense of what nose shape would suit me, he explained by drawing directly on my photo the areas he thought would be good to improve a little, and I thought, Oh! This is it! It was a consultation where I could continuously feel that every single thing he said was very considerate..
That day, I discussed the available surgery dates with the consultant, requested vacation from work, and immediately paid the reservation deposit haha During my first surgery, communication with the hospital was shaky, so I felt anxious, but this time I felt comfortable right up until the day before surgery. This is the first story of my revision surgery and how I came to choose Knit:)
