Before <before surgery> Before <before surgery> After <after surgery> After <after surgery> While looking into revision surgery, I found a place that didn’t seem very famous, but it seemed like they were good at revision surgery, so I made an appointment, had a consultation, and decided carefully. Since this was already my fifth surgery, I didn’t have huge expectations, and I went into it just hoping the lines would match well. At that point, I couldn’t really trust hospitals that were said to be good or doctors who were said to be skilled anymore. I had gone ahead just trusting what they said, only for the lines to become even stranger, and it looked gross, and I got angry even looking in the mirror every day. When I went for consultations, they would say things like even with another revision, it would be hard to expect much now, or that my condition was very bad, and if I wanted to do it, it would be highly difficult, so the cost would inevitably be extremely high. But at every hospital I consulted with, the consultants would say, “At our hospital, our director is amazing, so don’t worry, and please put down the deposit first.” Now it all just looked like business to me, and my trust had hit rock bottom.. Honestly, I didn’t choose this place because I fully trusted them either. I chose them simply because they didn’t say those flashy, empty things. The result is beyond what I expected. I thought it would be average as long as the lines matched, but I feel like the eye shape turned out pretty too, so since I went into this surgery thinking it would be my last, I’m satisfied enough to think it really can be my last. In the end, surgery is something you only know after you actually do it, and even if you go to a hospital where other people had good results, nobody knows what your result will be. I think you have to trust your own judgment, and in the end, you’re the one who takes responsibility too. Anyway, if you’re considering revision surgery, please get thorough consultations before deciding, and avoid places that only advertise that they’re definitely good or act that way even during the consultation...
