My eyes were small with a lot of fat, so after fat removal I had buried suture double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty. I thought I would also get ptosis correction, but the doctor pressed on my forehead and said I did have enough strength to open my eyes, so I didn’t get ptosis correction. For me, swelling tends to last a long time, so I think it took about 1 year. It took a little over a year for even the subtle swelling to fully go down. It’s been about 2 years since I had it done, but maybe because the stitches in the front came loose, the double eyelid line is broken at the inner corner area. There’s also an epicanthoplasty scar, and these days I don’t know why, but the front part of my eyes feels extremely cold and irritated. Especially when I wake up in the morning. I don’t know why. The double eyelid line itself isn’t bad, but because of the break in the line, I’m thinking about revision surgery later.
