I had already had surgery on my cheekbones and jaw, but my cheekbones still looked a bit prominent, so I visited the plastic surgery clinic that had been my second choice. The director honestly told me that the cheekbone area had already been set back enough, and that another surgery would not make it better. He accurately pointed out that the cause was fat around the cheekbones, sunken temples, and lack of volume in the cheeks, making the cheekbones look prominent. He also said that on CT, the bones were not prominent or protruding. If it had not been for the director’s honest diagnosis, I almost would have had an unnecessary surgery. It is now day 1 after the procedure. I got salivary gland injections around the jaw, and I like that my jawline looks sharper and more defined, but since it is only day 1, I will need to keep watching it.
