The nose surgery I had 12 years ago was a complete failure. I had it done at a major university hospital ([Clinic A]). I did not decide on surgery for cosmetic reasons; I had severe rhinitis and chronic sinusitis. But they said it would be a waste not to use the cartilage and suggested putting it in the tip, so I agreed because I had a hump nose.
I still vividly remember another young doctor saying during the surgical explanation that they would insert 4 mm of silicone. When I showed that I was flustered and did not want it, he became irritated and angry with me, a young girl, and kept pushing it, saying it was essential because otherwise the area below the nose would sink.
I kept hesitating without signing, so the doctor became even more annoyed. The nurse beside him raised her voice and told me to touch her nose and see whether it was abnormal. In fact, that woman's nose looked truly grotesque, like an L-shaped nose. I was too afraid to touch it. Although I said I did not want it, they made the atmosphere frightening, so I signed and ran out.
The area between my eyebrows was already high, and adding silicone made my nose look completely strange. I cried, but could not even tell my parents because I felt sorry for them. I had no money, so I endured it for a long time. Now that I am older, I finally want to have it done again.
