Before-before <before surgery> before-before-before <after surgery> My original nose wasn’t particularly ugly, but should I say the nasal bridge was slightly long? Maybe because of that, my midface looked long and even my philtrum looked long, which I didn’t like. Because the midface looked wide, my whole face looked loooong, so I kept wondering, ah, what should I do? How am I supposed to fix this? Should I get forehead filler.. Should I try chin surgery? I had a lot of worries, you know? When I looked up how people who fixed the issue of looking like they had a long midface did it.. it was so fascinating that the common thing was that they all started with nose surgery lol They said that if your philtrum looks long, doing nasolabial angle correction together is effective, so when I went around for clinic consultations, I think I deliberately tried to listen more carefully to what they said about the nasolabial angle.
It has now been a little over a month since the surgery, and when I think back to when the swelling was nice and full~ at the one-week mark when I removed the splint, a lot of the swelling has gone down now haha. I think it helped that I went out for walks often and walked for about 30 minutes each time.
For the surgery, I had hump correction on the nasal bridge, and for the nasal tip I had bulbous nose correction, nasolabial angle correction, and columella correction. I really worried a lot about what material to use but instead of using a vague mix of materials, I thought it would be better to use donated costal cartilage alone, so I used donated costal cartilage.
What’s amazing is that even though I didn’t put silicone in the nasal bridge, it still came up defined.. lol There were times when I subtly disliked that my nose height was low, so I like that it naturally got higher.
>> The nose surgery timeline starts here.. lol -Surgery record, day of surgery I was so nervous. It was my first time being put under anesthesia, and thinking that I would feel exactly the emotions I had only seen in reviews made me tremble so much. But after entering the clinic, hearing the explanation about the surgery, signing the consent form, cleansing... changing clothes and all that proceeded really smoothly lol. At some point, when I came to my senses, I was lying on the operating table... I don’t remember in detail what I talked about with the director lol. I think I kept talking to ease my nerves.. lol I just thought, ah, they’ll do it for me, they’ll do it well!! When I close and open my eyes, it’ll be a different world, and I comfortably closed my eyes. Thinking back now, I think the director and the consultant really tried hard to help me relax...
-Surgery record, day 3 to week 1 They call it cotton panic, right? I only found out after surgery, when I searched reviews again haha. Before surgery, I had searched while focusing on the results rather than the process.. so I hadn’t even thought about what happens when your nose is blocked with cotton.. But seriously, that wad of cotton felt like it went all the way up to between my eyebrows? lololol It wasn’t to the point that I couldn’t endure it because it was so uncomfortable, but when they removed it, I was genuinely shocked to the point of almost fainting. This was inside my nose? That’s how much was in there, and it was inserted deeply. So a humidifier is absolutely necessary, everyone.. make sure you remember that Buying a tumbler with a straw is also one way!! Vaseline is good to have too, for when it gets dry! Anyway, the cotton came out. I got disinfected, and at the one-week mark I removed the splint, and wow.. I was so embarrassed because of the sebum?? I really liked the shape, and the director checked one by one how the surgery was done, what parts went well, which parts were swelling.. and whether there were any places with blood pooling lolol Shockedㅡbecause of the sebum.. Everyone, look for a clinic that provides sebum care.. There are surprisingly many places that don’t, but the place where I had surgery gave separate skin care after removing the splint. If I hadn’t gotten separate care, it could have been bad. It seems better than me anxiously using a nose pack or looking for another dermatology clinic.
-Surgery record, week 2 After removing the splint, the scar was a little red and noticeable, but from this point it healed a lot, to the level where it wasn’t visible with makeup, and the swelling was going down steadily.... It was the time when only slight yellow bruising came up and then settled, without blue bruising. I washed my face extremely carefully too. It also hadn’t been long since removing the splint, and I wondered, is this really my nose? I had to wait for sensation to return too.. lol I liked the line, but it felt somehow awkward lol. And I managed the foreign-material feeling I was really noticing (boogers.. haha) by using sterile cotton swabs only to gently rub what came out on the outside, not going deep inside..!! I just couldn’t bring myself to go inside.. I ended up being careful with every single thing The cotton swabs weren’t ones I bought; I used the ones the clinic gave me in a self-care kit pouch.
-Surgery record, week 3 I could visibly see not only the nasal bridge but also the nasal tip becoming slimmer! According to the director, more swelling will go down from here, so don’t worry (he told me when the splint was removed.. lol). They told me to come back for a follow-up when it’s been about a month and a half, so then I’ll ask more questions I’m curious about and get everything checked carefully~
-One month, wrapping up Among the people around me, the acquaintances who know I got nose surgery all say it looks totally natural and better than right after surgery~ I ended up hearing a lot of compliments.. lol The long-looking face definitely improved, and they said the nose wings that used to look spread out look brought in.. The before-and-after difference is clear, but it’s amazing that it looks natural lol
