I joined to look up information before getting revision surgery, but I have to leave a post, so I’m writing one. I had nose surgery about 10 years ago, but it was so long ago that there isn’t much to say. There aren’t really any tips; it’s just storytelling.
At the time, I went to someone famous enough to appear on TV and had the surgery done. I had it done using septal cartilage, but I encountered a shadow doctor. I woke up from anesthesia in the middle, and since I was lying there and the surgery had already started, I just stayed still with the thought that I only wanted it to somehow end well. I heard the conversation with the nurse, and apparently he said he normally wasn’t supposed to come that day but had been called in. Part of me thought it would have been nice if the director had done it, but once I realized the director was that kind of person anyway, I didn’t want to see him. Just as I had suspected, I thought, because he was so busy, he was using a shadow doctor. The shadow doctor asked whether they were calling him tomorrow too, and when the nurse said no, he seemed happy. He seemed like a shadow doctor who had earned enough and done enough. Seeing how well he talked with the young nurse, he seemed to be in his 30s. Since the anesthesia wore off and I moved a little during the surgery, he realized I was awake and quietly did what he had to do. After it ended, I checked the time and I think I had been lying there for at least over 3 hours. I think it was delayed because they called in an unscheduled shadow doctor. I also wonder how much anesthetic they put in over those 3 hours. Medical issues aren’t really something I can do much about anyway, so I didn’t even tell my family and have been suffering alone until now. I wish at least the result had turned out well, but because the septal cartilage is bent, the columella is twisted and visible between the nostrils. As for the appearance too, my original nose tip was in very poor condition to begin with, but it’s embarrassing to even say it was surgically done, so I don’t mention it. Afterward, I saw Dr. Vendetta and felt some hope. Hoping that when I get it done next time, at least I’ll worry less about that. Well, even without that, looking at my nose, I don’t think anyone would entrust it to a shadow doctor, but still, you never know. Somehow, CCTV has been introduced to some extent, but it still isn’t complete. Also, this time I’ll be using costal cartilage, and the shape is an unusual case, so I’m trying to look into it a lot. Since I’m in the provinces it’s difficult, but luckily I ended up working somewhere where I can take a lot of weekdays off, so I’m planning to go around for in-person consultations. I’ll learn a lot of good information. Thank you.
