Before surgery, I had a slightly recessed chin? kind of look, and I wasn’t sure if this was a recessed chin, but I looked a bit sullen. After getting a consultation, I found out it was because my chin was slightly set back and I had cheek fat. I was also concerned about my slightly asymmetrical cheekbones, so I had cheekbone reduction by 7 mm, square jaw reduction by 8 mm, chin advancement (5 mm), and deep cheek fat removal together! As for recovery, I heard gargling after surgery was the most important thing, so I kept gargling for 1-2 weeks after surgery. Because of the swelling, I also walked for more than 5 hours every day, and the swelling really went down fast. haha Since I also couldn’t eat well, I lost weight, and the swelling went down a lot too. I swelled quite a lot compared to other people, but even so, the candy-like swelling went down well without lasting long, so I felt good. When I visited the hospital, I liked that the director explained everything step by step, from start to finish. And after I was discharged, they contacted me directly, which really moved me. Since the director is very gentle-spoken, they answered my questions in detail and kindly explained the functional aspects, how the osteotomy would be done, and even how I should take care of myself after surgery. As a side note, the consultant was also very pretty and kind, so I really liked that too.. haha As for meals, at first it was hard even to open my mouth, so I ate soft liquid foods with a teaspoon. I had liquid foods with as few solids as possible, like New Care, pumpkin porridge, and sweet red bean porridge, for about a week, and from the second week, I ate liquid foods with some solids, like soup or porridge. From the third week, I’ve basically been slowly eating little bits of various things, but I still think maintaining my weight is somewhat important, so I’m controlling the portions while eating! I want to recover completely soon and become even prettier!!
