It has already been over 10 years since I had double eyelid surgery. Even after one or two months after surgery, the swelling would not go down at all, so I was depressed, wondering if I had to live with these sausage-like eyelids. I was also embarrassed to meet people, so I wore thick-framed glasses and lived like that for about a year. But once it had been exactly a year, they settled so naturally, and unless I told people, no one knew I had surgery. Now my double eyelids have gotten smaller, so I feel a little disappointed with them, but I still think the surgery was a good decision and I’m still satisfied. These days I’m considering nose and breast surgery, but from my double eyelid surgery I learned that I’m the type whose swelling lasts a long time, so I’m worried I might struggle for quite a while after surgery.
