It has been 2 weeks since I had tip surgery, osteotomy for the bridge, surgery for rhinitis-related nose issues, and sinusitis surgery. Yesterday, I had the sutures removed from the autologous rib area and from inside my nose. They must have been careful when removing them, because it didn't hurt at all. I had the splint removed last week, and it feels like the swelling is going down a bit faster.
I had my nose tip supported with autologous costal cartilage, and silicone was inserted into the bridge. They also lowered the columella during surgery, and compared with my crooked nose before surgery, I like how my nose looks now. It doesn't interfere with daily life either. Everyone I meet keeps saying I've lost so much weight. I don't know why... haha
It really does feel like my facial features became sharper after the nose surgery. They say the major swelling goes down in about 1 month, and the minor swelling takes 6 months to 1 year, so I'll have to keep watching, but seeing my family's and acquaintances' reactions, I'm going to let myself have a little extra hope with some msg added on haha
For 3 days after the nose surgery, I lost my sense of identity and thought I'd never have surgery again, but now, looking at myself 2 weeks later, I don't know why I thought that.
When it had been 10 days since the surgery, I went to an acquaintance's wedding, and the bride's mother came over twice and said I was so handsome that I ended up feeling awkward around the groom for no reason. Hahaha, it was a funny little episode, but I spent the day in a good mood.
