I’m someone getting orthodontic treatment because of a snaggletooth and uneven teeth alignment. At first, I started treatment with the plan to extract only the upper and lower teeth on the right side, but then they said the upper and lower teeth on the left side also needed to be extracted. I said I didn’t want that because I was afraid my mouth would look sunken, so they said they would shave down some of the gum bone next to the molars and move the teeth backward. Are there people who get it done this way too..? I feel like this is my first time hearing about it
