Please keep that in mind when looking)>After<After>While looking into getting surgery, I thought that since I was going to be on the operating table anyway, maybe I should remove fat around the eyes at the same time and try making natural double eyelids. After thinking it over quite a bit, I came back after a dramatic transformation! lol
What entropion is, is when the skin below the eye gradually rolls inward and the eyelashes poke the eye, you know? The surgery done then is entropion surgery, but they say most plastic surgery clinics don’t easily have it covered by insurance. But if I went to an ophthalmology clinic for it, I felt like they wouldn’t be able to pay attention to the aesthetic part too.... While searching here and there, I happened to see Olo’s YouTube, and when I heard that insurance coverage for entropion is possible even at a plastic surgery clinic, I quickly booked and went in for a consultation.... (You really have to look carefully for hospitals where insurance applies. It’s not something just anywhere can do.)
It was my first cosmetic surgery, so I was really awkward starting from the consultation with the manager, but the manager, who had such a good impression, actively helped with the consultation, and the director also calmly explained my eye condition and the expected results after surgery, so I felt much less nervous. It was also easy to understand. Personally, it’s my own surgery that I’m receiving, so if I don’t understand anything about the surgery and just say, “Please just do whatever you think is best, doctor~,” then what’s the point? I think knowing at least what surgery I had and what effects this surgery has before getting it is the most basic of basics, so personally I felt the director’s consultation suited me very well. Since it’s a hospital specializing in eyes and noses, I could see they had handled many different cases, and the after-service period is 3 years, so I felt that part was a big advantage too!
These days, apparently semi-out to outline? lines are trendy, but I didn’t think that kind of line would suit me, and more than anything, I thought my image would change too drastically overnight. So I asked them to remove fat and lower the outer corners of my eyes, while making the double-eyelid line non-incisional, very~ thin, and not obvious. I was also really grateful because I could see the director making the line several times to match my opinion as much as possible. It wasn’t the style of “I’ll do everything exactly as the patient wants and asks~,” but rather the style of listening to my opinion, adding the doctor’s perspective, and suggesting, “Then how about something like this?”
After surgery, the insurance processing for entropion also finished safely, and honestly I worried about daily life, but after about a week, it’s becoming much more natural. Since getting the stitches removed, it’s been totally my world.. lol I’m satisfied that I became prettier without changing much from my original image, but more than anything, once the eyelash poking that had been dragging down my quality of life disappeared, it’s so~ comfortable and pleasant~ If I had just left it alone, it would have kept getting worse as it rolled inward more and more, so I think it was good that I had the surgery even now!
