From the before photo, it is obvious, but the sagging under her eyes was very severe, and from above the cheek still looked bulging… That was a very typical 50s eye shape. I briefly considered surgery under the eyes, but without lower blepharoplasty it would not have been possible. So after hearing the doctor’s explanation, we did lower blepharoplasty and an eyebrow lift.
The actual result was very satisfying for both mom and me. She seems to have gotten back the face she had when she was younger, so I also feel good, and her expressions have become brighter lately.
The surgeon has over 20 years of experience, and said he has a patent related to lower blepharoplasty, so we trusted him and did exactly as instructed. As a result, even the eyelid droop and lower-eyelid/cheek wrinkles, including under-eye fullness, were all fully cleaned up together—so that’s how it seemed in the end. I think lower blepharoplasty is truly something to trust to a specialist with experience... Since it is a private clinic, it felt more friendly, and now she is highly recommending it to her friends. No wonder word of mouth spreads so fast among the aunties…
Anyway, she finished the lower blepharoplasty safely, so now only my own surgery remains to be checked out. I hope this is helpful for anyone looking into surgery for mom and dad.:)
