I had surgery 13 years ago at one of the famous blacklisted clinics.. I knew that the septum inside my nose kept becoming deviated, but I was scared of going into the operating room again, so I ignored it and lived with it.
Recently, my nose has been getting more and more blocked to the point that it’s hard to breathe, so I’ve had no choice but to go around for consultations. I found out it’s a combo of septal deviation + silicone implant displacement (it has completely shifted to the left..) + the silicone was placed all the way to the nasal tip, so it shows through hahaha (planning removal).
I’m still in the early stage of going around for consultations, and some doctors say I should have septal reconstruction. But when I looked it up, there seem to be many side effects with septal reconstruction because it uses very hard cartilage/bone (rib cartilage), causing a strong foreign-body sensation and making the mucosa excessively dry, which can actually make things more uncomfortable.
I’m not even hoping to become prettier cosmetically.. I just want to breathe (+ remove all the silicone..)
Has anyone had septal reconstruction surgery because of septal deviation? I’d really like to hear how it was after surgery.
