I wanted a natural-looking nose, so I had silicone + ear cartilage used. Rather than being painful, it was uncomfortable, so I had the cotton removed right the day after surgery, and the splint and stitches were also removed early. At first I had so much nasal discharge that I even regretted the surgery, but now my nose feels comfortable.
