It seems that intraoral mucosal advancement needs quite a long recovery period, just like procedures done externally.
I’m not sure if scar tissue formed in all the areas sutured inside, but for a while I couldn’t use a mouth opener.
It’s best to have it done at a hospital you can visit frequently.
My workplace was near Sinsa Station, so I did go quickly during lunch breaks for early correction. (For the monthly scar injections, I went on Saturdays, so the round trip from home took a long time.)
Still, you should go whenever needed and take progress photos, so later no one can nitpick that you neglected care or didn’t manage it, and recovery will probably be faster too. I definitely recommend going.
I went almost 10 times after surgery.
For aftercare, I went once a month to get injections to soften the scar tissue.
Even without the injections it loosens over time (about 1 year + alpha...), but there is some discomfort in daily life.
