Nose Surgery Reviews

Review of a consultation for nasal-tip cartilage suturing (My Line Plastic Surgery, Co&Me Plastic Surgery)

I have never had nasal surgery or any procedure before, and both doctors said my nasal cartilage is on the smaller side. The nasal bones themselves are high, but below them there is not much support, so the nose drops sharply.

Both clinics recommended cartilage suturing + ear-cartilage grafting. Their basic surgical methods were also similar: incisions inside both nostrils, separation of the cartilage and skin, then suturing.

1. My Line Plastic Surgery – Dr. Kang Min-beom

It is a single-doctor clinic, and I went because it was the cheapest event price on the community app lol. Of course, the noses shown in the reviews looked natural, which is my style. There was no waiting, including for the doctor consultation, so that was nice!

But the consultation was a little confusing... Unlike me, my older sister has a more defined nose, so I showed a photo of her nose and said I liked a nose like that. The doctor said my sister’s nose was not a “well-made” nose, so I was like, “Huh...? No, no, no, I was just talking about my personal preference... haha.” Fortunately, I understood the doctor’s standard for a good nose, but we almost failed to communicate 😅

I also showed screenshots of noses I liked and disliked from the clinic’s review photos. Even though they were noses the doctor had operated on, he said, “This is not a good nose,” which left me with 500 question marks!!! Because of this, I felt somewhat uncertain during the consultation. After leaving, I searched the reviews again, but there were not really any bad ones. There simply were not that many reviews. The coordinator did not pressure me and was friendly and reasonably pleasant.

My biggest concern with cartilage suturing is getting a pinched, straight-line nose. I asked why this happens, and they explained that it occurs when the cartilage and skin are not properly separated. They confidently said, “That will not happen at our clinic!” and none of the before-and-after photos had that kind of appearance.

Cartilage suturing: 880,000 won / ear cartilage: 880,000 won / sedation anesthesia: 110,000 won. Total: 1,870,000 won. With a discount on the sedation fee for booking the same day: 1,760,000 won. I asked for an additional discount, and they said they would get the doctor’s approval. When they came back, the price was reduced further to 1,500,000 won as a partial-model discount. Haha. There was also a review-writing requirement, but I only had to post on the community app, BabiTalk, and Naver, so it was not difficult. Deal! ‼️Again, you have to ask for a discount on top of the discount‼️

The deposit was 100,000 won, and 90% of it could be refunded if I canceled, so although it was only my first consultation, I went ahead and paid the deposit immediately.

Aftercare revisions are available from six months after surgery. If performed, there is an additional anesthesia fee of 110,000 won and a separate materials fee. I was told the materials fee varies but is a small amount.

The postoperative care was roughly as follows: - Day 1: cotton removal - Day 3: check and replace the taping, or taping on day 7 - Week 2 and month 1: progress checks - Swelling laser treatment at every visit - Swelling injections on the day of surgery - No alcohol or gym workouts for one month

2. Co&Me Plastic Surgery – Dr. Ha Seung-il

I arrived 10 minutes late for my appointment, but they took me straight to the consultation room. Hehe.. The coordinator also came in immediately, took three quick face photos with a phone camera, told me the doctor would see me shortly, and left.

In less than five minutes, the doctor came in holding printed side-view photos of my face. He drew directly on them while explaining the surgical method. Because he explained it this way, I could intuitively picture how I might look after surgery, which I particularly liked.

It was clear that he had performed many nose surgeries, and I could feel his confidence and commanding aura. Maybe that was why I naturally trusted him! I also asked why a pinched nose develops, and he explained that it is caused by overcorrection.

Regular price for cartilage suturing: 2,200,000 won → event price: 1,350,000 won / additional ear cartilage: 550,000 won.

The total was 1,900,000 won, but with the review-writing discount, I was quoted 1,800,000 won. However, the review condition was four posts in total across two sites. For such a small discount, it feels like they are asking for too much I had not actively tried to bargain because I was planning to choose My Line, but I feel it might work if I try. When I asked for a price discount instead of extra services, they said they could discount it under the review condition and still include the services 😒

The coordinator also said that the doctor gives people coming from other regions or students a discount, as if to offset transportation costs, so anyone planning to have surgery here should bluff a little~ lol

The doctor explained things well, and the coordinator was kind. The doctor also seems skilled! But the postoperative photos they showed at the clinic included nose shapes I do not want, with a pinched appearance, so I am conflicted. The price is higher too For now, I paid a provisional deposit of 50,000 won. They said it is fully refundable if canceled, so I should think about it for a few more days... They said they would simply provide revision surgery if a problem occurred. Their confident attitude made it seem like that had never happened 👍

Postoperative care is as follows: - Remove the taping myself after two days - Remove stitches on day 5 - Swelling laser treatment at every visit - Pore brush (please give me a bigger discount instead of that) - Free Botox or medication for recovery, bruising, and swelling

Why I am conflicted

My Line: The doctor’s consultation was ambiguous, but the price was low and the operated noses suited my taste. Co&Me: The doctor’s consultation was very NICE, but it was more expensive than My Line, and the postoperative noses did not suit my taste.
