I had nose surgery in 2016. At the time, I had a deviated septum, so I had surgery through an open incision along with rhinitis and nasal valve surgery, but it was asymmetrical right after the surgery. I thought it was just swelling, but even now, 5 years later, the asymmetry is still exactly the same. Before the surgery, it definitely wasn’t asymmetrical, so after it became asymmetrical like this, I’ve lived with a huge sense of loss and so much stress. If I had just had the rhinitis surgery, I wouldn’t have had to live with this kind of stress, but because I unnecessarily had a procedure to raise my nose bridge at the same time, I now have to live with this concern.. My original nose before surgery wasn’t bad either, and I regret trying to raise the bridge while I was already getting surgery. I have heard that my bridge is higher and my side profile is pretty, but the uneven nostrils bother me. I lived like this, went to the military, and had become somewhat numb to it, but recently I’ve been thinking about getting surgery again. When you look at it, is it bothersome enough to notice? Or is it at a level I can live with? I’m really torn about whether to have revision surgery. Among other people, no one has ever mentioned in daily life that it was uneven or asymmetrical, and in many cases they only noticed after I told them. This is a serious concern, so please leave replies. More than my own standard, how it looks to other people is the more important criterion for judgment, so I’d appreciate it if you could share your personal opinions.
