In my case too, last year I went to a consultation at a famous clinic without knowing anything, and I came out having barely asked anything properly or heard anything, just flustered... Even when the doctor asked, Do you have anything else to ask? I didn’t know anything, so I just said no...
That place even charged a 10,000 won consultation fee, so I basically became someone who spent money and wasted time without gaining anything;;;
So when I went for consultations this time, I at least looked up Motiva, inframammary fold, and dual-plane method before going around. I had heard that the dual-plane method is often done by people who have no upper-breast fullness and little existing breast tissue, so I trusted that and went to consultations... Even then, I was recommended a variety of options like subfascial and dual-plane, and I was also recommended doing implants + fat grafting together. Even after looking into it a little, it can be this confusing, so if you go thinking, I know nothing but I’ll just try it! you can only end up nodding along in confusion..
And by my standards, there is one point where I would filter out a clinic. When you register at a clinic, you fill out a checklist, right? If you say there that you haven’t decided on an implant, and the clinic immediately says Motiva has a low capsular contracture rate, so do this one~ There isn’t that much price difference between Motiva and Mentor~ then say bye-bye.. Honestly, the clinic is not an implant company, but because Motiva is the most expensive, they are trying to get the highest amount of money from each patient..
I went around to several consultations, and among the places I visited, ㅁㅂㅇ and ㄱㄹ explained things fairly well. But everyone has different standards for choosing a clinic, right? Feeling that a place is good because they explain everything is just my own standard. So I hope everyone already knows at least the minimum information about breast surgery from the start of going around for consultations. I think there’s a limit to only searching on this community’s website. Watch YouTube, clinic websites, and all the negative reviews too. That’s how you can know the clinic’s real face
I’m writing this in case there are people here who got fooled by factory-style clinics, couldn’t refuse, and even put down a deposit ㅜㅜ Also, these days they apparently hardly do subfascial anymore. If a clinic recommended subfascial to you, focus on looking up reviews of that clinic’s subfascial cases.... checking whether the shape looks strange, whether that person regrets it, and so onㅜㅜ
