After going around to several consultations, I finally had surgery at the hospital where I had my last consultation lol! As soon as I got there, they took a CT scan and we had the consultation. The consultation felt very professional, but they explained things in a way that was easy to understand, so I liked that :)
My original nose was large compared to my face, but they said my septal cartilage was on the smaller side. So using only septal cartilage would be a bit difficult for raising the nasal tip, and they recommended using costal cartilage. I also didn’t want it to droop later, and I wanted it to stay firm and last a long time using my own tissue, so I had the surgery with autologous costal cartilage hehe
For the line, personally, rather than something too close to straight, I think a slightly curved straight-to-curved line is pretty, so I said that during the consultation too, and I definitely wanted the nasal tip to be raised sharply! I told them that rather than a trendy line, my goal was to make my current nose as pretty as possible, and that the side profile was important to me. The director listened carefully to the wishes I mentioned and wrote everything down in detail! Looking at the surgical result, I feel like they reflected it well, so I’m genuinely satisfied lol :)
Since my rhinitis tends to flare up depending on the season, I had functional surgery done at the same time too. I think I’ll be able to see the effect when the weather gets colder and my rhinitis starts acting up! Anyway, I’m so satisfied that the time I spent worrying about nose surgery feels like a waste!
