I lived 3n years with a hallabong-like nose... thinking natural is best... and that I should just live with the face I was born with, but as time went on, all I could see was how big my nose was, and when I looked in the mirror, I only saw my nose^^... Since I’m wearing a mask these days anyway, I quickly booked a consultation and got it done. At first, I went around to three consultations, and this clinic felt the most specialized in nostril width reduction, so after the consultation I booked right away and had the surgery the following week.
Personally, my eyes and nose are both big and prominent, so it was important that the improvement suit my face as naturally as possible.
My complexes were that my nostril wings were thick and wide + when viewed from the side, my alar wings drooped, making me look older. This was the only place that pointed out exactly that part during the consultation, and I also didn’t want implants, but the director said that because my nose has a lot of tissue and is thick, even if the bridge were raised it would just rise bluntly, so they did not recommend it. That matched my needs exactly. They said the reason I look like a big-nosed old man when I wear glasses is because my alar wings are thick and curved, so I decided to also correct the curvature.
Overall, I did nostril width reduction + correction of alar drooping + correction of curved alar wings, and paid in the high 2 million won range... I was a bit surprised by the price, but since it’s a surgery you do once... I wanted to do it without regrets, so I went for itㅎ
The surgery was done under local anesthesia... As a scaredy-cat having surgery for the first time, the anesthetic injections hurt...ㅠㅠㅠ They said the surgery would take about 30 minutes, but maybe because it’s a one-doctor clinic, I had the surgery after almost a 1-hour delay. It’s good to know that consultations and everything can take quite a bit of time...
Because it was local anesthesia, after the surgery I took the subway home right away. I kept taking the oral medication and applying ophthalmic ointment, and visited once more a week later to have the stitches removed. They said there was quite a bit of swelling, and that it would continue to go down and look prettier up to 6 months... I did have some scarring, so I’m applying scar ointment. Now that 8 weeks have passed, it feels much lighter than before~
