It has been exactly 10 years now since I had SMILE LASIK. Symptoms of my eyes feeling slightly cold or stinging did start around then, but there was no major discomfort and my vision improved too. Then, I wonder if eyesight also depends on your constitution. I usually do not use my phone much, but at some point I ended up using it a lot for a while, and from then on my vision gradually worsened and I gradually could not see things far away. It was so inconvenient that I went to the clinic to see if I could possibly have eye surgery again, and they said LASIK would be good, so I had a second surgery. The cost was free. I think it has been about 5 years now since I had LASEK. These days I have been using my phone a lot, so my vision has gotten worse, and I feel like the stinging/dry discomfort in my eyes has also increased a bit. My friend had implantable contact lens surgery here, and even though they use their phone and electronic devices more than I do, their vision has not worsened much. My personal thought is that lens implantation may be better because if your vision gets worse, you can just replace the lens. Looking at the cost now, it has gone up a lot. Anyway, I am living well without major side effects. My vision has only gotten worse, and I just have slight dry eyes.
