Leaving a 6-month review after double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction! In the photos, the first 2 at the top are before surgery, and after that they’re in order: day 5 - 1 week - 2 weeks - 3 weeks - 6 months!
After surgery, it feels like time really flies… It feels like just yesterday that I was looking into surgery, but this year is already coming to an end,, This year, after getting eye surgery, I feel like I lived a completely different life..ㅎㅎ Looking back, I think it was a very meaningful year for me.
I had the double eyelid surgery by incisional method, and I went into surgery knowing that incision can cause a lot of swelling, but from week 1 after surgery, I didn’t have much swelling, so I think I was able to wait for recovery with a really relaxed mind~~!
From 2 weeks after surgery, I started going around with makeup on, and from then on, I think it was almost the finished look! There was still a little residual swelling and bruising, but it was enough to cover with makeup, and the line was set so beautifully from early on that I think it was honestly the happiest moment…ㅎㅎ Now I’m completely used to having had surgery, so I live thinking, “Oh, my eyes were always like this,” but in the beginning after surgery, I was like, “Do I really look like this?!” and was totally full of myself ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I used to change my profile picture once a day and stuff, but thinking about it now, that’s embarrassing past material ㅠㅠㅋ
Now about half a year has passed, everything has settled, and it has become really natural. I feel like I’ve changed into the kind of image I used to think of as my wannabe look before surgery, so I’m truly, truly satisfied beyond words ㅠㅠ! I think 2021 really became a meaningful year for me.
