Hello~ I had long-curve square jaw reduction and cortical osteotomy, and now that it's past midnight, I'm on day 9. I wanted to share my review, so I'm writing this! First, after surgery, on the day of surgery, my throat hurt so much because of the general anesthesia and my jaw was throbbing, so it was really hard. I barely slept at all ㅠㅠ I think the sore throat lasted about a week for me. And days 2-4 were when I was the most swollen. At that time, starting from my lips, I really felt like, can a person swell this much..? And around days 5-6, the swelling started to go down! I think walking helps a lot. Now that I'm on day 9, I have some swelling around my cheeks and swelling that looks like a double chin, but I don't think it's severe haha. I'm getting my stitches removed tomorrow, so I hope the swelling goes down quickly~~ Also, until the one-week mark, I slept sitting up, and since yesterday I've just been sleeping with my upper body a little elevated haha. I'm going to keep taking frequent walks and do warm compresses diligently too! That was my surgery review haha.
