It was a case where I just trusted and left it to the doctor.
Honestly, it is lower than before.
Before, my nose was really big.
Still, because of the nature of the incision, it looks like a plug nose stuck on my face (this hurts the most, and I can’t reverse it), and in photos the sides look unnatural, so it would be a lie to say I have no regrets at all.
As my nostrils got smaller and my nose also became pinched, the area above the columella often gets sore > I think it’s because nasal discharge doesn’t drain well. As it gets irritated, only that area keeps peeling like skin shedding, on the inside...
I also had the thread-tying method done together, and I think it was good that I used dissolvable thread, because there were holes like large pores on both sides of my nose for years, and recently, as the threads all dissolved, they seem to have disappeared. A small bit of thread was sticking out, so I think I lived with it for about a year until it dissolved and disappeared.
Until everything done non-incisionally dissolved, my nostrils were so small that my little finger wouldn’t fit. After the dissolvable thread dissolved, my little finger can fit, but overall my nose spread out again.
These days I’m stressed that my nose has spread out, so I’m considering tying it again non-incisionally. (The non-incisional work came back; I think there was dissolving, loosening, and cheese-wiring all together.)
The scars have faded a lot over time, but the cut areas are extremely sensitive and painful when touched. Still, honestly, there are scars, so it is noticeable that I had incisions.
Inside the nose, around the nostril hair area, there is also a swollen keloid that formed where it isn’t visible, and it hurts when touched. Keloids seem to be sensitive and painful scars... When I go to ENT and get examined, if they open my nose... my nostrils became smaller, but the flesh that was cut and reconnected developed keloids, is weak, and hurts... It hurts quite a lot.
If everything up to here is the side effects and aftereffects I actually experienced, the advantage is that my appearance did become much better-looking than before. Also, apart from the shape, I still think this level of scarring is acceptable.
I have seen many people with severe incisional scars..
Lastly, with plastic surgery, if there is something you gain, there is definitely something you lose, and more than anything, I think you have to calmly, rationally, and carefully research it well. I think you should analyze before-and-after surgery photos well, and think carefully about why you think the nose you want is pretty and why you feel the nose you dislike is unpleasant. Also, don’t want too much. If you do, I think the side effects also come excessively. Too much is as bad as too little.
