A month ago, I had men’s eye surgery (non-incisional ptosis correction) and nose surgery (3 mm silicone, hump osteotomy, nasal tip with septal cartilage) at a clinic. At the time of the consultation, I didn’t even know about this community, and I also didn’t have much information about plastic surgery, but the consultation with the consultant and director felt like there wasn’t much explanation and it passed quickly. They just glanced, roughly planned the design like, let’s do it this way, and I only asked them to make it look subtle. Part of it was that I was a bit uninformed, but now that I’ve gained a lot of information, thinking back, they could have given plenty of additional explanation, but it felt like they deliberately didn’t invest time in each individual ㅠㅠ Oh, and since I live outside Seoul, I booked consecutive nights at a hotel on my own, thinking they would remove the cotton two days after surgery. But they contacted me the day before and said my surgery was scheduled for 7 p.m., so they would help me get admitted.. Since I couldn’t cancel the hotel, I just stayed at the hotel. They removed the cotton the day after surgery, so I wasted one day and just went back home. Since it’s factory-style, the consultation is simple and concise, and now that I’ve already had the surgery, thinking about it, the director also seems to have a fixed surgical style. After surgery, in an open chat room, I saw a man who had surgery with the same director whose nose ended up looking like a bird’s beak and who is waiting for revision surgery.. I think I’m fortunate that mine didn’t turn out that badly, but my nose now looks like Pinocchio’s, and only the nasal tip protrudes forward, so it looks strange ㅠㅠ Fortunately, my eyes turned out well, but they say nasal tip swelling can last from 6 months to 1 year, so I’m trying to hold onto hope and wait, but I really regret it somewhat. It was a hump osteotomy, but the hump remains (I don’t know if they left it because I asked for a natural look). Thanks to the hump, it does look natural, but only the nasal bridge got lower while the nasal tip stayed the same. We had agreed on a straight-line profile, but now only the nasal tip sticks out abruptly, so it also looks like a straight-with-slight-slope line. It’s obvious to anyone that I had surgery, so the stress is no joke ㅠ At least it’s fortunate that I wear a mask these days.. The nasal tip has come down, but the columella has gone up, so it looks like an arrow nose. It’s already come down, but they say the nasal tip will come down more...? It shouldn’t come down; it needs to go inward, for me.. For now, I’m going to wait until all the swelling goes down ㅜㅜ I was too lazy to go to consultations, so I only went to one clinic after looking at app reviews and decided on surgery right away, but now I really understand why people say to visit many places. What materials there are, what the pros and cons are, reading real reviews in this community, and saying at the hospital that you came from a community.. For those who are about to do it now, I hope you succeed without regrets ㅠㅠ
