Hello, I’m someone who had 45-degree cheekbone reduction surgery 1 year ago. I’ll give you my honest review. I’m saying all of this as if you were my friends. I really do not recommend it. I want to tell you, please do not do it. Please...ㅠㅠ If you don’t want to spend your whole life worried and depressed about side effects and so on, I recommend just living with the face you were born with.. First, I had surgery through a gingival incision. (It was not quick cheekbone surgery.) My cheekbones were not even more protruding than other people who have a complex about them, but because of my own greed, without even looking up videos on YouTube and such, I ended up having surgery at a hospital my family recommended. I thought it was no big deal....(It is a big deal.) Before surgery, if I had watched even one surgical video, I wouldn’t have done it... I resent myself so much and feel pathetic for not doing that. First, the hospital I went to was famous for facial contouring. The hospital consultation manager also praised the director, saying he was famous. It’s true that those words gave me some kind of trust. (So fickle, right... haha) There were a lot of people at the hospital, and the consultation manager was kind, but I couldn’t see the director at my reserved time..; I’m someone who considers appointment times very important, and they said he was in surgery at that time;; (It’s a hospital with many surgeries.) Anyway, I met the doctor and said, I think I have cheekbones here~ but he really didn’t explain in detail, didn’t even explain for 5 minutes, gave a rough, vague explanation, then said, Ah yes~ you have 45-degree cheekbones~ yes, I think doing this area would be good~ and went off to the next surgery. Still, foolish me could only trust it because it was a hospital my family recommended; (Please, please judge everything for yourself.) It’s also a hospital that pressures you a lot for a deposit.... Anyway, the day of surgery came. He looked at my face for about 30 seconds, drew on it quickly with a pen, and went straight into surgery. (I don’t think he looked at my face for even an hour; well, he’s a specialist, so I just accepted it, and it was also my first cosmetic surgery.) Then about a month passed, and when I said I wanted to see the director, the manager said, How long has it been since your surgery~~?? So I said it had been 1 month, and she told me to come back at the 6-month mark.....ㅋㅋㅋ The side effect I had immediately after surgery was that when I opened my mouth, it would catch somewhere and not open properly. (Fuck, do I really have to live like this ㅠㅠ) But it didn’t hurt, and if I pulled my mouth backward and opened it, it opened to some extent (I was also scared of revision surgery ㅠㅠ;;), so I just lived with it as it was. (There was sometimes painful aching too.)
After 1 year passed like that, my current side effects are what I mentioned above, plus I can’t pat on cushion foundation (because the 45-degree cheekbone area feels extremely sensitive and cold, fuck, I want to die), and pain runs from the cheekbone down to the jaw. The reason I visited the hospital after 1 year was because of the pain... So when I visited, they didn’t take a CT, only took facial photos, and I had a consultation with the doctor. (I went with a guardian, but they said through the consultation manager that guardians were not allowed to come in, acting like that, so we just went in together lol) The doctor explained using the CT taken right after surgery. He said there was no problem with his surgery lol (No, fuck, did I say I had side effects right after surgery? It’s now, so you should explain with a CT taken now lololol unbelievable) And then he said, Have you been to the dentist? Making a fuss like that. (The dentist said it wasn’t a dental problem.) So the dentist said, “The painful area is connected to the zygomatic masseter region, so there may be a problem with the cheekbone!” So I was trembling and told the plastic surgeon that, and he said, “That’s an extremely subjective thought~” Acting like that lol The doctor said: The condition you’re experiencing now is not a common case. If it hurts, take painkillers or make that kind of effort first and then come back...~ (He talked as if symptoms like this had never appeared before.) - I recorded everything; in case he changes his words later;;
Anyway, I said, I’m in pain now and side effects have happened now, so shouldn’t you explain with a CT taken now? Why are you explaining with photos from right after surgery without taking a CT now? If there was no problem with the surgery, why did I get side effects? Do I have to live with this discomfort for the rest of my life?! Then he blamed my mental state lololol saying maybe I was paying too much attention to it, telling me to stop thinking about the surgery,,,,,(Say something that makes sense....) And with an annoyed attitude, he said, “Then get a CT taken today before you leave,” then slammed the consultation room door and left (ha....) And the consultation manager said only: “The doctor will look at the CT images and contact you if there is anything abnormal....” lol So I requested the CT images. That was my review. I pray that there will be no other victims. Please don’t do it, please.....(Don’t touch the bones.) I really want to die right now.
