After After After Before <This is a before photo of my nose. There isn’t a big difference from the front> Before Before I thought my nose would require major surgery if I wanted to operate on the hump, crooked nose, bulbous nose, thick nasal bridge, and so on, so I kept enduring it. People around me said my nose looked especially big in photos and that the hump stood out from the side. So I comforted myself by thinking, “It doesn’t look that bad in real life.” Over the past few years, my nose started to bend sideways from the front, but since nobody noticed, I thought… as long as only I know, it’s fine.
But recently, the moment people around me said, “Your nose looks a little crooked from the front?” I thought, ah… now I’m not the only one who knows… and I started thinking about my nose a lot again, and I no longer wanted to look at it.
I went to consultations for a few weeks, but other hospitals told me things like this isn’t a nose that can be fixed by only raising the tip, I would need major surgery, it would not be enough, and so on. Just when I was about to give up, I saw reviews from this clinic. I felt that naturally raising only the tip the way I wanted could improve my nose, so I applied for a consultation.
The number-one thing I wanted to improve was that my already plump nasal tip looked droopy from the side because of the hump, making it look like a witch nose. The director understood this point too and said that raising the tip alone would not make it a perfect nose, but it would improve a lot. He said I would definitely become more ambitious later, but we could think about that again after the tip surgery. The director was honest and seemed very confident. He also said that because my nostrils were hidden and made the nose look stuffy, he would do that together as a service.
Now that one month has passed, I’m satisfied! The front has not changed dramatically, but the side profile improved a lot, and I no longer see the side view that looked droopy like a witch. From below, the flat tip now looks like a defined tip, and the nose that used to look long no longer does. The nostrils that were hidden are visible now too. It’s so fascinating that the light on my nose from the front, which was always positioned lower, is now right in the center. The hump is still there, but I think it actually has the effect of looking natural. In photos, the change is much more dramatic.
Funny enough, nobody noticed the change except the people closest to me. I think it’s because not much changed other than the side profile. At first I felt a little disappointed, but I like it because it means it doesn’t look too obvious haha
I don’t think closed rhinoplasty is a surgery that can make a bulbous nose disappear. But I do think it is a surgery for personal satisfaction. Everyone says swelling goes down in a few weeks, but for me, it still slowly comes up every morning and goes down in the afternoon. I think I need to contact the clinic about this. If you want a dramatic change from the front, I think open surgery is the right choice.
