Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

No dramatic change, but I’m satisfied. Highly recommended!

<Most recent photo, taken while dieting.> I didn’t go around comparing places; I just went with the feeling of, “This is it! I should go here!” (If I were choosing again now, I probably wouldn’t do it that way;;;)

I had a flat midface, prognathic jaw, asymmetry, prominent cheekbones, and so on, so I was loaded with complexes and had a pretty big face.

I had double jaw surgery + facial contouring + cheekbone surgery in mid-April last year.

During the consultation, they said that because my skull size and the bony area from the mandible to the cheekbone area were in a state where they couldn’t be cut away much,

it would be hard to expect a major effect from either the cheekbones or the contouring ㅠ ㅠ

Still, I thought, ah, I definitely have to do it here. Because... when I consulted with the director, I felt so much trust..

It’s been almost a year and a half now. My orthodontic treatment ended the month before last, so I’m only wearing a retainer now.

My face did not change dramatically after the surgery!! It turned out naturally and well, and people around me kept saying my face got really much smaller, lol everyone was surprised.

But since they don’t know I had double jaw surgery, they just say things like, “Did you get something done to your face?” so that feels a little strange lol;;; I have no side effects. My sensation has all returned, and I don’t have any discomfort when doing mouth-opening exercises. I’m just...living very well lol happy~

Managing the aligned teeth I got after orthodontic treatment carefully is a little annoying lol.

I regret my past self for not scraping together the money in my early 20s and doing this surgery first.

And one last thing I want to say...

Double jaw surgery is truly a major surgery, and unlike the surgery reviews you see in the media, it is not like a simple procedure, it is not painless, and safety is not 100% guaranteed. It felt like I had been to hell. The process of surgery + recovery + orthodontic treatment was truly awful. Please keep this in mind and make your decision carefully if you choose to have the surgery!
