Because my lower body had been my lifelong regret, I had my first cosmetic surgery at a place with many high-volume reviews, but.. The side effects discovered after tremendous pain.. I saw and experienced with my own body that thigh liposuction can have this many side effects. The over-suctioned areas and the areas where fat remained were uneven like waves, and the circled area in the photo was deeply sunken like a puddle. Because too much was carved out around my knees, wrinkles formed, and my hope of ending a lifetime of wearing only long pants after surgery collapsed miserably. The most serious area was the inner thighs. On the inner thighs, after over-suctioning, the remaining loose skin that had been roughly attached with a laser and the clumped fat that had not been suctioned were tangled together and sagged in multiple folds. Every time I walked, that flesh rubbed, and every time I looked in the mirror, I felt angry and sad. After I accepted reality to some extent and went for consultations at revision-specialized hospitals and lift-specialized hospitals, the words I heard each time were “Impossible” I stopped going to consultations and lived avoiding the side effects, not facing the mirror when putting on pants. Looking at the huge scars from lifts, I even thought about just living while hiding the traces of the side effects inside pants, but my conclusion was that I could not live like this. I started going to consultations again, but it was very hard because there were not many specialists in thigh lifts. After disappointing consultations at two representative hospitals that said a lift was possible, I headed to Laflin without much expectation because their abdominal lift scars looked clean. After seeing abdominal lift reviews, the lift scars were so clean that I made a reservation because I wanted to ask the director whether they also do thigh lifts. In the consultation, I went in thinking that I just desperately wanted these two problems solved: the sagging of my inner thighs and the depression above my knee, where bone and skin touched every time I walked and caused pain. The director said my uneven thighs could be solved with uniformization. “Uniformization?” It was the first time I had heard that such a thing existed. The director explained that they are the only one in Korea doing it, and that it is a surgery that makes the fat even to smooth out the bumpy parts, and said a thigh lift is easier than an abdominal lift. My heart raced. I booked right away and had the surgery. For the surgical result, I think you can just look at the before-and-after photos rather than ten words. These are unedited photos. The sunken areas became even, and the wrinkles and pain above the knees decreased a lot. The depression and sagging of the inner thighs also became flat with an inguinal lift. Someone as severe as me needs a T-incision, but because I really wanted to swim sometimes when I travel, I said I wanted to do the lift only through the inguinal area, so the lift was done only with an inguinal incision. They also removed the fat that had been grafted to the upper part of my buttocks at another hospital to correct the buttocks that collapsed after a thigh lift, and my buttocks feel so much lighter. The head director clearly says what can be done can be done and what cannot be done cannot be done, and does not say unnecessary things much, but I felt that they truly want to make patients beautiful. During the preoperative consultation, they only said, “I’ll do my best to make you look pretty.” When they came to check my condition after surgery, they only said, “I did my best,” but later the manager told me that when the director came out of the operating room, their whole body was drenched in sweat I sincerely thank the director, who is the reason I can now look at my thighs in the mirror without feeling angry and sad. Starting with the head director who solved my problem; the vice director who always treated me with warm hands; the other director who reassured me not to worry about the lift scars and said they would treat them later again with injections and so on; our manager who said she had moved to another plastic surgery clinic but came back because every consultation was painful from comparing it with Laflin’s director; the nurse who reassured me not to worry during surgery; and Teacher Hwang, who was always more sensitive and worried about my scars than I was whenever I went for checkups and treated them... For a sensitive patient who went in for surgery because of side effects, the people I met at Laflin were moving. What I thought when I saw the result after surgery was, “How nice would it have been if I had done it at this hospital from the beginning?” I know too well how distressing thigh side effects are, so I’m writing this review. The surgeries I had included uniformization of uneven thighs, fat grafting to severely sunken areas, thigh lift, stem cell injections into scars, buttock liposuction, and so on, so I don’t know the exact cost of each one. So please ask the hospital about costs. I hope this helps those who, like my past self, are in despair because of thigh side effects.
This is a surgical review pursuing reconstruction.
