As anyone who has looked around for protruding mouth surgery knows, there are only a few places that do it. After going to consultations at several clinics, I think you’ll get a clear feeling of where you should go. There were places that would do it for less, but if I felt even slightly uneasy about the doctor or the hospital facilities, I left them off the list. Seoul Jeil was a bit expensive, but the manager was kind, and the doctor was very confident, so I ended up having it done there. The result turned out well, and even now, a year later, I don’t regret it!
If there is a downside to protruding mouth surgery or orthodontic treatment... As the mouth moves back, the cheekbones seem more prominent, and the cheeks feel like they sag a little....
For people whose protruding mouth is not as severe as mine, I think orthodontic treatment alone may be enough. For people with severe protrusion and a receding chin, I recommend protruding mouth surgery + chin surgery.
